The Keizer City Council recently approved designs for a new welcome sign for the junction of Broadway Street, Stark Street, and River Road.
The previous brick facade was damaged in numerous vehicle collisions, costing the city of Salem thousands of dollars in repairs.
“They’ve put about $80,000 into it over the years, rebuilding it and fixing it,” said Adam Brown, Keizer’s city manager.
