People interested in exploring or buying the Centennial school building in Clear Lake will have the chance to do so during an open house. 

The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, March 30. The 133-year-old building, formerly Clear Lake Elementary School, is located at 7990 Wheatland Rd. N.E. 

The Salem-Keizer School District announced its intentions to sell the building last year. It housed over 100 students during the 1950s.

Aaron Harada, district communications director, said in an email the event is an opportunity for the community to walk through the building before it is sold. “Whether you’re a neighboring resident, an interested buyer, or simply someone who wants to revisit a meaningful place in the community, we welcome you to stop by,” Harada wrote.
