Police Scanner – January 27 – February 1

A transient was arrested at Roto-Rooter Park in Keizer after he got into the baseball stadium over four days and police found him munching stolen nachos, according to Keizer police.

Rodrigo R. Ramirez, 26, was arrested at about 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, after an employee spotted him.

Lt. Trevor Wenning of the Keizer Police Department said video showed the man had been in the park daily for four days before his arrest. The man admitted doing laundry while at the stadium.

He was arrested for four counts of burglary and one count of theft and criminal mischief.

In other police activity:

• Police responded to an adult care home on Northeast Mistletoe Loop at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, after a resident got out of control.

The man assaulted a care worker at B2 Community Care and then chased her down the street, police reported. He caused several thousand dollars in damage at the home to interior doors, a gate, several computers and windows on two vehicles. Backpacks, purses, medication and cash also were taken.

Miguel A. Hernandez-Hurley, 33, was arrested for assault, criminal mischief, menacing, theft and disorderly conduct.

• At about 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, police responded to a reported robbery outside Forest Ridge Elementary School in Keizer. Two boys, 14 and 16, told police they met another juvenile at the school, who then demanded at gunpoint they turn over vaping supplies.

Police later arrested a 17-year-old Keizer resident at his home for menacing and second-degree robbery. They said the robber used what appeared to be a fake toy pistol.
