SPORTS: Celt swimmers swamp North Salem in dual meet

McNary’s swim team has one last dual meet on Thursday, Feb. 5, before going into the Central Valley Conference district competition.

The Celts defeated North Salem 254-57 in a meet on Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Kroc Center in Salem.

Six McNary swimmers won two events against the Vikings.

That included Cassidy Kerner (200 Free and 500 Free), Andrea Guevara (200IM and 100 Breast), Landon Perry (200IM and 100 Back), Evelyn Hales (50 Free and 100 Free) and Carsen Pletcher (100 Fly and 100 Breast).

The team won 22 events with Celts swimmers posting 18 best times, according to Coach Kyla Howard.

The Celts end the regular season, facing Sprague.

The district meet opens Friday, Feb. 13, at the Kroc Center.
