McNary’s cross country team members joined hundreds of runners from across the Northwest in regional competition in Spokane, Wash.
The Celts, forging a team they called McGnarly, ran in several races at the Nike Cross Regionals Northwest on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Senior Jocelyn Schnurbusch had the best finish for McNary, coming in 34th on the Girls Open Invitational. She had a time of 19:28.5.
Kailyn Bollman-Lechner, a senior, finished at No. 50. Other girls completing the competition were Hayden Claypool, Emily Gomez, Avery Bollman-Lechner, Adiley Hernandez, Cassidy Kerner and Kalo Utaatu.
Yosef Picazo, a senior, had the best finish for McNary, coming in 40th in the Boys Open Invitational 5K. He posted a time of 16:16.6. Other boys completing the competition were Jaxsen Herring, Harrison Hales, Hunter Hamm, Kellen Laukkanen and Connor Bowlby.
