McNary student accused of threatening coastal concert

A 15-year-old Keizer boy was arrested Monday, Oct. 27, for threatening to shoot up a concert at the Lincoln City Cultural Center last month.

The teen was taken into custody at McNary High School by officers from the Keizer Police Department and detectives from the Lincoln City Police Department . He was lodged at the Marion County Juvenile Department, accused of first-degree disorderly conduct.

Because he is a juvenile, authorities are not publicly identifying him.

Officers from the city police, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police evacuated the cultural center on the evening of Sept. 13 minutes after receiving the call. About 100 patrons and staff were in the center at the time for a concert by two musicians.
