Golfers will take to the links at McNary Golf Club Saturday, Aug. 16, to raise money for student needs and honor the memory of Jamison “Jami” Proulx.
The golf tournament is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
The cost to enter is $500 for a team, which covers golf, cart and lunch. Golfers can sign up as a team or contact organizer Dan Proulx to get a spot on a team.
The tourney is limited to the first 120 players. As of late last week, a handful of spots were still available.
Dan Proulx, Jami’s father, said donations also are welcome. People can contribute cash, raffle items, gift baskets and sponsorships for tourney prizes.
This is the second annual golf event. Proulx said 100% of the proceeds go to Jami’s Memorial Fund, which provides college scholarships, musical instruments and other support for local students.

The nonprofit fund honors the memory of Jami, who was 18 and newly graduated from McNary High School when he died in an auto crash in August 2022.
To sign up or for information on donating, visit jamisfund.org or contact Dan Proulx, 503-409-5183.
