Celt CTEC grads head into workforce

 Seven McNary seniors were recognized for their decisions to enter the workforce in the industry they have studied at Career Training Education Center (CTEC) in a signing day ceremony on Wednesday, June 2.

“What you guys are doing is really important and it should be acknowledged and valued. We are so proud of you,” McNary principal Erik Jespersen said. 

Listed below are the seven students that will be entering the workforce, the companies they will work for, and the CTEC programs they graduated from. 

Colby Brooks: Elite Auto Glass (Auto Body and Repair Painting); Jose Martinez Reyes: Hyacinth Collision Centre (Auto Body Repair and Painting); Micah Summerfelt: Hill Brothers Machine Corporation (Manufacturing, Welding and Engineering); Spencer Schauer: Southtown Glass (Residential Construction); Marcos Tornez: MDR Construction (Residential Construction); Jaime Flores Barajas: Hard Core Contractors (Residential Construction). Eli Meuchel: Parr Lumber (Residential Construction). 

The school is planning on making this an annual tradition. 

“I know that the community we live in and the city of Keizer will be better for the future because of young professionals like you,” CTEC principal Rhonda Rhodes said.
