Parks board: Plan for some type of facility at Keizer Rapids – but preserve the green
Residents stressed the need to maintain the natural qualities of the park, keeping any development limited to the 20% envisioned when the master plan was created.

Kids flock to recently remodeled Bob Newton park
Students from Gubser Elementary School now flock to the newly renovated Bob Newton Park after school. The overhaul was completed last month, though upgrades still remain.
Graffiti everywhere
For the last several months, many Keizerites may have noticed the increase in graffiti around town near residences, in the parks and in other high traffic walking areas.
According to Parks Division Manager Robert Johnson, the graffiti nowadays is “the worst I have seen in my almost 17 years working for Keizer.”
