Keizertimes: City investigation and Mayor Cathy Clark

Good morning.

Mayor Cathy Clark did something wrong, a special city committee concluded this week.

But the Internal Oversight Committee won’t describe what she did – not even to her. The committee of Councilors Shaney Starr, Lore Christopher and Kyle Juran met behind closed doors on Wednesday, July 22, to consider a confidential report.

The committee voted to find the mayor violated two council rules without disclosing any details. It also voted to recommend the full Keizer City Council issue a “memo of concern” to the mayor. The committee stayed silent on the council’s directive from last month that the three councilors also investigate Councilor Dan Kohler.
