Here’s the latest from Keizertimes

Good morning!

You can have your say about the future of Keizer Rapids Park next Monday.

The city is holding a community meeting about a plan to put up a pavilion in the park.

One motivation has been to spare the Keizer Chamber of Commerce the cost of renting and erecting a tent each year for KeizerFEST.

But park fans aren’t so such plopping a pavilion in the park is a good idea. They worry a structure will disrupt the open feel of the park.

That’s where your voice comes in. City officials plan to share what details they have so far and then throw the meeting open for comment.

Our story below has more details.

Here is what else Keizertimes reported on in recent days.
