Keizer’s prayer breakfast set for May 7, open for registration now

Registration is underway for Keizer’s annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, which coincides with the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7.

The National Day of Prayer, established by Congress in 1952, is held on the first Thursday of May and invites people of all faiths to pray for the nation, its leaders and its citizens.

Keizer organizers say there will be representatives of many faiths at the event, which will be at the Keizer Civic Center, 930 Chemawa Road N.E. Breakfast will be served beginning at 7 a.m.

Pre-registration is required through the Keizer Chamber of Commerce website or office, 4118 River Road N. The cost is $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members.
