Keizer residents can share their perspectives with a candidate for the Oregon Senate during a town hall on Thursday, March 26.
Virginia Stapleton, a Democrat, will conduct a town hall at the Keizer Station Apartments at 6 p.m.
Stapleton is a former Salem city councilor who announced her campaign for Senate District 11 last fall. The district covers Marion County, including Keizer, Woodburn, North Salem, Gervais, Brooks and Labish Village.
District 11 is currently represented by Sen. Kim Thatcher, a Republican from Keizer.
Stapleton previously ran for Oregon House District 21, and lost to Kevin Mannix.
Sabbath Rain, Stapleton’s campaign manager, said in an email that top issues the campaign has heard from people include reducing costs for families and seniors, funding health care and schools and the housing crisis.
