Keizerites can peruse an array of great deals on books indoors, or brave the weather to help clean up a city park at events in the coming week.
Book lovers won’t want to miss the Keizer Community Library’s fall book sale, offering collectibles, good reads, DVDs and more. The sale is at Keizer City Hall, and runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18.
Then, on Oct. 21, residents can don their boots and gloves to participate in the city’s final Trashy Tuesday cleanup of the year. The action will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Wallace House Park, with parking in the lot along Rivercrest Drive North.
Volunteers are asked to wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes, and bring water bottles. A bottle refill station will be provided.
