The nonprofit VETcare will debut a new benefit to help veterans – the Red, White and Boots Gala – on Friday, Sept. 12, at the Log House Garden in Keizer.
The event, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., will include dinner and dancing at the venue, 5655 Windsor Island Road N. Individual tickets cost $65, or $500 to sponsor a table and dinner for eight guests.
People can also donate to the organization to support its programs, and also cover tickets for veterans to attend the event.
The organization provides support services for veterans in Marion and Polk counties. Its programs target housing for unhoused veterans, vocational skill building, life skills to promote self-sufficiency, and peer support and other help for veterans at risk of suicidal ideation.
