Concerts in the park are back.

Uptown Music, the Keizer Chamber of Commerce and Valor Mentoring are partnering up to bring back summer concerts to the Keizer Rotary Amphitheater in Keizer Rapids Park.

The subject came up in the June 3 city council meeting where Keizer First Citizen Kevin Dial requested a fee waiver from the council to hold six concerts throughout the summer. A fee-waiver for $2,123 to secure the amphitheater for the selected dates was approved unanimously by the council.

The last series of summer concerts were held back in 2022, although, due to the contract timing out with the last event organizers, the concerts were put on hold for 2023.

Six different artists are scheduled to appear throughout July and August including: Rhythm & Business on July 20, Rich McLoud on July 27, Wild Ire on August 3, JFK on August 17, Johnny Wheels on August 24 and the Nash Brothers on August 31.

Vendors at the event include: Santiam Brewing and North Keizer BBQ as well as Bo & Vine.
