Blanco, Friesen and Martinez make finals at wrestling state championships

Three McNary Celtic wrestlers have made it to Sunday’s championships matches at the OSAA state wrestling championships.

Max Blanco, Josh Friesen and Ali Martinez all made the finals of their weight classes.

Blanco was the top-seed at 106 pounds. He placed third at last year’s state championships.

Friesen (170) was the three-seed.

Martinez (190), the only female McNary wrestler to make the championships, was the two-seed.

Championship matches are scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. Sunday, at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
