Oregon Sports Hall of Fame announces 2022 class

The Oregon Sports Hall of Fame will induct its eight-member 2022 class in a ceremony on July 31, the hall announced in a press release Monday.

The presentation will be made at the Key Bank Club at Providence Park in Portland, with a tailgate cocktail reception prior. 

This year’s inductees include the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Oregon Tech men’s basketball teams, Dennis Erickson, Dave Gasser, Fred Jones, Terry Durham, Felicia Ragland, Becky Sisley and Connie Madigan. 

At the ceremony, six student-athletes will be awarded $3,000 scholarships. This year’s recipients are Kylie Burk from Waldport High School, Joey Gartrell from Canby High School, Jessy Hart from Sweet Home High School, Elia Sanchez-Rodriguez from North Salem High School, Isaac Urbina from Pendleton High School and Lucas William from Mountain View High School. 

The tailgate reception begins at 2 p.m. Mascots from various professional and collegiate teams from the region have been invited to join in. A piper and drummer are also scheduled to add flare to the reception.

The awards ceremony, emceed by Oregon Sports Hall of Fame’s Dwight Jaynes, is at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $65.
