The West Keizer Neighborhood Association is holding a beautification project at Palma Ceia Park from 9 a.m. – noon on Saturday, May 7. They invite the public to “bring gloves, rakes, pruners and a friend.”
Volunteers will be cleaning the ground area under the pine trees in preparation for wood chips and a new picnic area – if they get enough help, they will clearing an area for a viewing bench, as well.
Pizza and drinks will be provided for anyone willing to volunteer. For more information, visit www.westkeizerna.org. Food donations for the Keizer Food Bank are also welcome and will be collected at the event – needed items include pasta, canned pasta sauce, canned stew, canned vegetables, fruits, cereals and tuna.
