The Keizer Fire District will have an open seat on the board of directors for the May 18 Special District Election — Ron Christopher will not seek re-election.
To file for the placement on the May 18, 2021 ballot candidates need to complete the SEL 190 form and pay a $10 fee. In lieu of the fee, a petition can be submitted using the SEL 121 and SEL 338 forms.
Candidates can visit to the counter at the Marion County Clerk’s office (555 Court St NE) in Salem to file and submit the $10 fee. Visitors must check in on the first floor and have their temperature taken. A mask must be worn while in the building.
Candidates may also file a statement in the Voter Pamphlet. This is an option and not a requirement. The filing deadline for inclusion in the Voter Pamphlet is March 22.
