KPD investigating 2 unrelated shooting incidents

Keizer Police Department detectives are investigating two shooting incidents that took place in the first week of August. No one was injured.

Police officials do not believe the incidents are related, but are releasing few details because the investigations are ongoing.

On Wednesday, Aug. 5, patrol officers responded to a reported fight in the 2200 block of Aldine Court Northeast. The first call arrived about 1:30 a.m. A second 9-1-1 caller reported that shots were fired. Officers determined that the calls were related and located an individual who had been shot at but not struck.

The second incident began at 5:22 p.m. near the 6300 block of Ulali Drive Northeast in Keizer Station. Witnesses described an altercation that involved two vehicles and shots being fired from someone inside one of them.

One unoccupied and uninvolved vehicle were struck by at least one round during the incident.
