Community members are invited to have their paper documents securely destroyed and recycled by a mobile shredding truck at Willamette Valley Bank in Keizer, 5130 River Road N., on Friday, Oct. 25 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
To celebrate Oregon Community Bank Week, an annual observance proclaimed by Oregon’s Governor, members of Community Banks of Oregon are joining forces to help Oregonians combat identity theft by hosting free document shredding events across the state.
With identity fraud affecting 16.7 million U.S. Consumers last year alone, securely destroying documents that contain personal information is one of the best ways consumers can protect themselves from identity thieves.
