Keizer designer wins statewide honor

Allison Boxall

Allison Boxall, owner of Summit Design Interiors in Keizer, won the 2019 Structure+Style Award for interior design from Oregon Home Magazine.

Up against some of the largest design firms in Oregon, Boxall won for her design renovation of a home in West Salem.

“People don’t often realize that the aesthetic environment they live or work in is so critical to how they feel and function or how clients judge their expertise. It isn’t until the space is designed well that they realize just how big of an impact it has,” she said. “I design for that moment when my clients walk into their new space and I see the joy on their faces as they imagine themselves cooking in their new kitchen or holding a meeting in their new conference room. This life is too short to not love what you’re surrounded with every day.”

Boxall finished her design education in 2001 and started her business right out of school.

She transformed the living and entertainment space of the West Salem home from a taupe pedestrian depression to a white fire silhouette of class and welcoming charm.

The owner of the West Salem home said, “Allison did an amazing job redesigning our kitchen, living room, dining room and entry. My husband and I are very picky and don’t always agree or even know what we like. She was always patient and professional and somehow made it all come together beautifully. Five stars!”
