Countryside welcomes new pastor

Jared Jordan with wife, Megan, and son, Malachi.

On Oct. 1, Countryside Christian Church welcomed a new worship pastor, Jared Jordan.

For the past 10 years Jordan has been leading music in different capacities at different churches; he has been playing music for 13 years.

Jordan moved to Oregon from east Tennessee in 2016 to be the worship director for a small church plant in the Bethany suburb. “I was their worship director for three years before God called me to Countryside,” he said.

Jordan and his wife, Megan, recently celebrated two years of marriage and are moving to Keizer from Beaverton at the end of October with their 10-week-old son, Malachi. “The closer to Target the better,” he said, since his wife loves to shop there.

Some of Jordan’s interests outside of work and family include: competitive swimming, which he did in middle and high school, good coffee and music. “Music, of course, is a big part of my life as I am constantly listening, discovering and appreciating all the various genres and sub genres it has to offer,” he said.

Jordan and his family enjoy the quiet life that the suburbs bring. “We are very much looking forward to moving to Keizer,” he said.

“After meeting Pastor Jon and the rest of the staff team, I knew that this was the place God was calling us to be full time,” Jordan said.
