Marion County Fire District #1 wants to say “Thank you.”
We recently completed our budget process for the next fiscal year. We had strong participation with staff, our Citizen Budget Committee and community during our public meetings.
Our fire district is owned by the people we serve, and we rely on the financial support you provide to save lives and property. That’s why we want you to know how we use your tax dollars. Our budget is available on line at www.mcfd1.com.
Call volumes are increasing, and we need to hire additional personnel to maintain emergency response times. Staffing and capital needs identified in the fire district’s Strategic Plan likely will require additional community funding. We will bring a proposal to the community later this year for voter consideration in 2020.
Your participation makes our agency stronger. Thank you for being open to hearing what we have to say.
