Volunteers to be honored at July 5 City Council meeting

Keizer City Council will be giving special honors to two volunteers next month – Miranda Coleman and Joy St. Peter.

Miranda Coleman completed her service as Youth Councilor for Keizer City Council last month, and will be attending the University of Oregon in the Fall. Coleman was nominated as this year’s Youth Volunteer by Parks Advisory Board member Matt Lawyer and is being recognized for her efforts by Mayor Cathy Clark and Councilor Dan Kohler.

Joy St. Peter, director of the Joys of Living Assistance Dogs organization – which provides service dogs for people with PTSD and mobility issues – has been nominated as Volunteer of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2022 by Garry Whalen and recognized by the Salem Reporter and the Keizertimes.

The July 5 Council Meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.
