OBITUARY

Wayne Lawrence Tschauner August 29, 1950 – August 14, 2021

Wayne passed away peacefully on Saturday at Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland of Cancer and COVID-19

He graduated from South Salem High School and was inducted into the US Navy the day he received his Army draft papers. He spent a tour of duty in Vietnam in the SeaBees.

On his return he attended Phagan’s School of Hair Design and was an outstanding hair dresser and barber. He had the gift of gab which his clients loved. He also loved making floral displays for the various family events and enjoyed his short stint as a long-haul truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his older sister Terry Ann Unrein, his mother Mary and father Ray Tschauner. 

He is survived by his sister Debbie Napier and her husband Joe of Keizer and numerous cousins from California to Florida.

He is interred at Willamette National Cemetery. A Celebration of Life is to be held at Center 50+ in Salem, on October 23, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. If you are so moved, the family wishes for donations to the Gary Sinise Foundation or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
