Fifteen months after COVID-19 forced the closure of the Keizer Cultural Center, one of its tenants, the Keizer Community Library, reopened last week with a ribbon cutting held on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the entrance of the center.
Library board president Paula Guiles introduced Mayor Cathy Clark who cut the ribbon hung across the center’s main doors in front of a crowd of more than 25 people.
After the cutting, the attendees were the first to see the library’s remodeled space on the ground floor.

On Saturday, 81 library patrons signed up for or renewed library cards, which are now free. Nearly 100 items were checked out.
The Keizer Community Library is open 3 to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 1-5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
