Sandee Thai Restaurant opens on River Rd.

Sandee Thai Restaurant opened last week on River Road N. The business first started in Silverton by owner Ratana Bany, but Sivaleeporn Hinderlie wanted to open one in Keizer as well.

Hinderlie owned two other restaurants in the past but was excited about the opportunity to have a spot in Keizer. She enjoyed the community of people and noted that she would like to retire here. She also liked that it wasn’t as busy as some other places.

“Silverton is too busy, too many people, but here its a bit smaller and less of a rush,” Hinderlie said.

One thing that Hinderlie believes sets her apart from other Thai food places in the area is the amount of dietary options available.

“Almost everything we have can be made gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian,” Hinderlie said.

She wanted to make sure that anyone could eat at the restaurant, despite having food restrictions. Another focus Hinderlie made was using high quality and fresh ingredients for her food. She also made sure to get things like coconut milk for people who can’t have dairy.

“It’s a little bit more expensive, but it’s worth it. We want food for everybody, including us,” Hinderlie said.

Hinderlie looks forward to being more involved with the community and to hear their reviews on the restaurant.

Sandee Thai Restaurant is open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. They are also open Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. They are located at 4907 River Rd N, Keizer.

Parking spots are located behind the building.
