Teachers, staff, administrators and Wally the Wolverine welcomed about 100 sixth graders back to Whiteaker Middle School Tuesday, April 13.
At McNary High School, see on Page A5, freshmen and sophomores were the first to make use of the remodeled building.
It had been more than 390 days since such a large group of students had been in the building together.
To help mitigate potential COVID-19 outbreaks, each grade level will be attending classes in separate wings of the school.
Seventh graders began classes on Wednesday, April 14, and all students returned to Whiteaker, on a hybrid learning schedule, Thursday, April 16.
