COMMUNITY

Mark your calendars for civic center clean-up

For the 10th year, the Rotary Club of Keizer in partnership with the Claggett Creek Watershed Council will hold the Keizer Community Center cleanup on Saturday, March 14.

More than 100 volunteers will spend that Saturday morning clearing tree and shrub trimmings, remove weeds and other light maintenance chores.

The public is invited to join in the project.

Cleanup will start at 9 a.m., regardless of the weather (except if there is heavy snow) and run to noon. Volunteers are encouraged to bring tools and equipment such as wheelbarrows, trash cans, rakes, tapes, pruning shears and other equipment.

Organizers suggest volunteers dress for March weather: long pants, sturdy shoes or boots, hats, coats and work gloves. Restrooms are on site. Light refreshments will be provided.
