On August 14, 1939 a baby girl was born to Leo Percy and Edna Mary Wallace Standish in Bellingham, Wash. She was named Annabelle Lee Standish, the baby of the family with two brothers and a sister. Annabelle was often spoiled by her family, especially her grandmother, Venona.
Annabelle attended schools in Bellingham, Wash., Abiqua and Silverton, Ore. and also California. She graduated from North Salem High School in 1957 and had honorable mention in her ability to twirl the baton in the high school band, parades and more.
She married Renell Wilbur Austad on October 17, 1959. Together, they had two children: Carl Leo and Ruann Lea. Later, she married C. Delapp.
She worked many places, including Birds Eye Cannery in Woodburn, State Farm and Lancaster Village.
She was known for her famous sticky buns. She loved Bingo and board games. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.
Annabelle was preceeded in death by her father Leo Percy Standish, mother Edna Mary Wallace Standish, brother Wayne Leo Standish and a son Vernon Leo Peterson.
She is survived by sister Lorraine Gesner (Royal); brother George Standish (Dorene); children Carl Austad (Roberta), Ruann Hashenberger (Carl); grandchildren Nicole and Morgan Annas, Corinne and Steve Staten, Amy and Paul Quirring, Ashley and Travis Rosser, Audrey Parker and Roy; great-grandchildren Chloe and Isabella Annas, Oliver and Jolene Staten, Aria and Lucas Quiring, Jaedon-Parker, Noah and Hayden Rosser.
Arrangements are with Crown Memorial. A private internment will be held.
