Willamette Lutheran honored For Earthwise moves

On March 6, Willamette Lutheran Retirement Community was presented the Earthwise Large Business of the Year award by Salem Environmental Education (part of Marion County Environmental Services) at a special sustainability luncheon held at Mission Mill.
Accepting the award was Kay Hayes, director of marketing; Sam McDonald, groundskeeper/supervisor, Matt Meisenberg, maintenance supervisor (L); and resident Allan Freebury, a member of the original Green Team.

Oregon Sports Hall of Fame announces 2022 class
The Oregon Sports Hall of Fame will induct eight new members on July 31 at Key Bank Club at Providence Park. This year’s inductees are the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Oregon Tech men’s basketball teams, Dennis Erickson, Dave Gasser, Fred Jones, Terry Durham, Felicia Ragland, Becky Sisley and Connie Madigan.
