Volunteer to advise city officials

The City of Keizer is soliciting applications for volunteers to be considered to serve on the following committees:

 Budget Committee – Responsibilities include assisting the city council in the examination and analyzing of proposed budgets for the City of Keizer. Volunteers serving on the committee must be a registered voter in Keizer. (One vacancy)

Keizer Points of Interest Committee – Identify, authenticate and memorialize sites of interest located in the Keizer area. Sites to be identified may be of the historical, geographical, botanical, or unusual. (One vacancy)

Traffic Safety/Bikeways Pedestrian Committee – Responsible for reviewing traffic (as well as pedestrian and cycling) safety issues in Keizer and making recommendations to the city council for improvements. (One vacancy)

Youth Committee Liaisons – Available to high school students for service on various city committees.

Applications received by Wednesday, Jan. 9, will be considered at the Thursday, Jan. 16, volunteer coordinating committee meeting.
