Hello Keizer….

It is Memorial Day weekend. The weather is expected to be good, wherever you are going for the holiday.

Tuesday’s primary election did not deliver any surprises. Salem City Councilor Julie Hoy defeated incumbent Mayor Chris Hoy. Many think that Keizer will have an ally at Salem City Hall.

Municipal elections in Keizer will not be until the November general election. Those seeking election to the Keizer City Councili, or Mayor, will be able to get a candidate jacket starting June 5.
