A change in the weather says that autumn in right around the corner. Pumpkin-flavored items are everywhere.
The artificial turf fields at Keizer Rapids Park have been renamed the Keizer Community Fields. The official ribbon cutting is set for Oct. 1.
The final candidates for Keizer’s general election are set. Mayor Cathy Clark is running for her sixth two-year term. She is opposed by former mayor, Lore Christopher.
Three city council seats are up election. Former Councilor Marlene Parsons will face neighborhood advocate Tammy Kunz. Councilors Shaney Starr and Kyle Juran have no opposition in their elections.
