KFD battles brush fire
When Keizer Fire District arrived at the Wallace House Park at 8:29 a.m., firefighters found large piles of trees and limbs burning that had been washed up by flood waters over time. Access was extremely difficult due to overgrown trails and there was no way to drive brush trucks down to the fire.

Martinez earns All-American status
Martinez got the opportunity to play in the 12-U USA Softball All-American Games at the National Softball Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City, Okla., which took place June 8-10. She was one of only six players from Oregon selected to compete in the 12-U age bracket.
