Melissa Bisset has been hired as the Keizer City Recorder, replacing long-time Recorder Tracy Davis, who is retiring in July.
Currently Bisset is the Human Resources and Administrative Director for the City of Canby where she supervises the City Recorder, a position Bisset held for more than three years.
Bisset, a native Oregonian, has a Bachelor’s degree from Western Oregon University in business and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Texas-Arlington.
She was city recorder in McMinnville, executive assistant to the city manager, deputy city secretary, and administrative clerk in Boerne, Texas.
The new city recorder is a senior certified professional through the Society for Human Resource Management, a certified municipal clerk through the International Institute for Municipal Clerk and a graduate of the Northwest Women’s Leadership Academy.
Bisset’s will begin with Keizer on June 26 and will spend spend several weeks with Davis.
