At the Feb. 21 Keizer City Council meeting Councilor Laura Reid called for volunteers and vendors for the city’s 40th birthday celebration scheduled for June 16 and 17.
Plans so far call for an 1980s-themed dance party on Friday, June 16. The city will provide food and beverages.
On Saturday, June 17, an open house will be held including live performances and presentations throughout the day.
Organizers invite Keizerites to be part of the celebration by helping with food, beverages, art and entertainment. Community members and vendors can visit keizer.org/40BD and fill out a form on areas they want to help.
