The public is invited to join a virtual public meeting to learn about new state rules that aim to promote walkable, mixed-use areas in Salem and Keizer. The meeting will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23.
Staff from the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development will explain the new Climate Friendly and Equitable Communities rules and describe what walkable, mixed-use areas are. Planners from the cities of Salem and Keizer will discuss how the rules are expected to be implemented in the two communities.
