With Halloween less than two weeks away, there are plenty of activities for the whole family in Keizer and the surrounding area in the days leading up to, and even on All Hallows Eve.

Keizer:

  • “Fangs for the Memories” Bash
    • WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 26, 6:30 – 8 p.m.
    • WHERE: Countryside Church, 5775 McLeod Ln NE
    • Middle school and high school students are invited to take part in Countryside Church’s mixer with a costume contest, pumpkin carving, apple bobbing, vampire donuts, pizza, candy, prizes and more
  • Keizer Elks Trunk-or-Treat
    • WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • WHERE: Keizer Elks, 4250 Cherry Ave NE
    • Bring the kids for a safe, fun Halloween.
  • Tony’s Kingdom Horrorween + Cherry City Bombers Trunk-or-Treat
    • WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
    • WHERE: Keizer Village, 3856 River Rd N
    • The 14th annual charity drive offers free comics (3 per person, more with donations) and will feature Garbage Pail Kids artist Floydman Sumner on site signing autographs and creating personalized artwork. Caesar the No Drama Llama will be in attendance from 4 – 6 p.m, and the Cherry City Bombers Car Club will host a Trunk-or-Treat and Food Drive inside their Scary Rods from noon – 4 p.m.
  • McNary Trunk-or-Treat
    • WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 30, 2 – 4 p.m.
    • WHERE: McNary High School, 595 Chemawa Ave.
    • Anyone can bring a car. Participants are encouraged to dress up.
    • A panel of judges will award trophies for:

  • Countryside Church Trunk-or-Treat

    • Countryside provides candy, treats and plenty of fun.
  • Church on the Hill Harvest Carnival
    • WHEN: Monday, Oct. 31, 5:30 – 7 p.m.
    • WHERE: Church on the Hill, 2105 Keizer Rd NE
    • Food, drinks, bounce house and trunk-or-treat.

Salem:

  • E.Z. Orchards HarvestFest
    • WHEN: Everyday through Oct. 30. Monday to Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturdays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sundays 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • WHERE: E.Z. Orchards, 5504 Hazelgreen Rd NE
    • Admission is $4 during the week from 9 a.m. – noon (no hayrides available), $6 noon – 6 p.m. Weekends $10
    • Hayrides, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, face painting, corn maze and live music.
  • Willamette Wizards Academy
    • WHEN: Saturdays and Sundays in October, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • WHERE: Powerland Heritage Park, 3995 Brooklake Rd NE
    • A unique Halloween adventure for kids put on by the Oregon Electric Railway Museum at Powerland Heritage Park.
    • Cost is $16 per person (under 2-years-old free), groups are limited to 18 people per adventure.
    • Families take part in a 30-minute interactive adventure at the Willamette Wizards Academy in search for the stolen dragon egg as you:
      • Ride on a historic trolley.
      • Participate in an interactive story adventure.
      • Visit the Magical Trolley Forest and Land of the Fairies.
      • Take home a training wand used in the adventure.
      • Take home a tiny pumpkin produced by the Fairies pumpkin farms!
  • Fordyce Haunted Corn Maze
    • WHEN: Friday and Saturday nights in October, 7 – 9:30 p.m.
    • WHERE: Fordyce Farms, 7023 Sunnyview Rd NE
    • $15 per person, weather permitting. Not recommended for small children, parents are urged to take caution.
  • Nightmare Factory
    • WHEN: Fridays, Saturdays, Sunday and Monday 10/21, 22, 28, 29, 30 and 31, 7 – 11 p.m. weekends, 7 – 10 p.m. weekdays
    • WHERE: Oregon School for the Deaf, 999 Locust St NE
    • Oregon’s longest running haunted house, the Nightmare Factory is a 13,000 sq. foot building with two attractions from the Oregon School for the Deaf.
    • Approximately 50% of actors at the Nightmare Factory are students at the School for the Deaf. 
  • Scareousel
    • WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 29, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • WHERE: Salem Riverfront Carousel, 101 Front St. NE
    • Coloring pages, pumpkin weight guessing game, carved pumpkins for sale
    • Upgraded carousel pass includes:
      • Hot dog

      • Four carousel rides
    • Limited number of tickets, will be available day of at gift shop.
  • Willamette Heritage Center Drive-Thru Trick-or-Treat
    • WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 30, noon – 4 p.m.
    • WHERE: Willamette Heritage Center, 1313 Mill St. SE
    • The third annual drive-thru Trick-or-Treat event where the “Candy Crew” hands out goodies to kids in vehicles, as cars drive through to see the booths and decorations.
  • Morningstar Community Church Trunk-or-Treat
    • WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 30, 3 – 5 p.m.
    • WHERE: Morningstar Community Church, 4775 27th Ave SE
    • Some trunks are movie themed, Disney, animal related, video games and so much more! The volunteers’ creativity really comes to life! Plus, they’ll give you candy!
    • Allergen-friendly treats and prizes available
  • Salem First Carnival
    • WHEN: Monday, Oct. 31, 4 – 6 p.m.
    • WHERE: Salem First Church of the Nazarene, 1550 Market St. NE
    • Carnival games, candy, prizes, popcorn, ice cream and a raffle for a $200 family fun gift basket or kid’s bicycle

  • Silver Crest Haunted House
