The hunt is designed to connect consumers with local businesses, enter to win cash and prizes, have a good time and build community.

The Scavenger Hunt is organized by Farmers Insurance—Matthew Poteet and WhirLocal—Tim Fahnrich. WhirLocal is a division of Third River Marketing.

This year there will be four adventures to choose: Keizer, downtown Salem, west Salem and North Salem/Lancaster.

Small businesses are “really the lifeblood of our community,” Poteet continued. “We love to celebrate and support our local businesses. In addition, this free event will help our neighbors and local families have a great time without eating into the household budget.”
