City Councilor Dan Kohler at a May 3 work session.
Dan Kohler, currently in his first term as City Councilor position 6, announced May 18 that he would be filing to serve a second term this year.
“I seek the opportunity to serve another four years because there are important items underway or coming up requiring seasoned and reasoned leadership,” he said.
In an email to city councilors and Keizertimes, Kohler said his priorities were bringing good jobs to Keizer by identifying useful land, looking at expanding the city’s Urban Growth Boundary (UGB) in order to keep housing costs affordable, park improvements, a public library, and preparing for the departure of three key staff department heads in the next few years.
