McNary softball swept a doubleheader at home against McKay High School on Wednesday, totalling 31 runs in the six innings played.
Both games ended after 3 innings with the 10-run rule. The Celtics won the first game, in which they were the home team, 15-0. In the second game, the Celtics were the away team, and won 16-0.
Hannah Ebner pitched both games for McNary. In 6 total innings she struck out 7 and allowed no runs, hits or walks, only facing one batter more than the minimum of 18.
On the offensive side, Kayelee Schwab went 6-for-6, knocking in 6 runs and scoring three times. Heather Ebner also had 6 RBIs in the two games. She went 3-for-5 and scored 4 runs.
McNary is now 4-0 in league play, 12-3 overall, and in second place in the 6A-6 Mountain Valley Conference. With another doubleheader on Saturday when Summitt High School comes to Keizer, they look to keep pace with the undefeated first place and OSAA No. 2 ranked Bend High School.
