During this Earth Day at Keizer Rapids Park, local residents can visit with community partners like the Willamette Riverkeepers, Oregon State Parks, Oregon State Marine Board, Marion County Soil & Water Conservation Department, Marion County Environmental Services, the City of Salem, Claggett Creek Watershed Council and Salem Kayak Rentals.
Informational booths and activities will be provided for families, including a self-guided ecological tour of the park, games for kids, and volunteer opportunities. Claggett Creek Watershed is combining this year’s “Soggy Day in the Park” volunteer clean-up event with the Earth Day celebration at KRP.
A full list of times, activities and opportunities to volunteer can be found here.
