In response to her death, the United Way of the Mid- Willamette Valley has created the Selma Pierce Fund.
The fund – established as a donor advised fund – is a vehicle for granting sustainable financial support to nonprofit charities. The Pierce family will serve as advisors in the use of the funds. The United Way Board has approved $10,000 to seed the start of the fund.
“It is an honor to sustain Selma’s legacy by creating an opportunity to invest in building innovative solutions that create lasting impact,” said Rhonda Wolf, CEO of the United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley.
