COMMUNITY

Chamber, KNOW need food sorters, gift wrappers

Volunteers will be needed to sort through donated food and wrap gifts for the Keizer Network of Women and Keizer Chamber of Commerce’s annual giving basket program next week.

Food sorting will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 9, and gift wrapping on Thursday, Dec. 10.

Both events will be held in a vacant space at Keizer Village Shopping Center next to The Chicken Shack. The fun begins at 6 p.m. both nights.

COVID precautions will be taken, such as social distancing, wearing masks and potentially even gloves. There is no maximum number of people who can attend, but because of social distancing they may have to turn volunteers away if they run out of room, even so they encourage people to come.

“We can’t do this without the community,” said Danielle Bethell, director of the Keizer Chamber of Commerce.
