New Keizer officers take oath of office

Officers Tim Hein, Cody Stupfel and Trenton Webb were sworn in to the Keizer Police Department Monday, Nov. 2.

Three new Keizer Police Department officers were sworn in at a meeting of the Keizer City Council, Monday, Nov. 2.

Officer Tim Hein is a 10-year veteran of the Silverton Police Department where he was recently promoted to sergeant before being hired by KPD.

Officer Trenton Webb began as a reserve officer in May 2019. He was hired full-time in September and graduated from the basic police academy in March.

Cody Stupfel recently resigned a 10-year commission in the Oregon Army National Guard where he was a medical evacuation pilot on Blackhawk helicopters. He still needs to attend the 16-week basic police academy.

The new officers will fill vacancies created by a wave of retirements within the Keizer Police Department.
