Marion County Fire District #1 has scheduled two open houses for members of the community. Fire Chief Kyle McMann said it’s just one step in the fire district’s effort to improve communication with taxpayers.
“We are grateful for the support of our community and want to say thank you,” said Chief McMann.
“This also gives us an opportunity to show our taxpayers how we spend their money to save lives and property.”
Open houses are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at two stations in the north and south side of the district. Station 6 in Clearlake is at 8005 Wheatland Rd. N in Keizer. Station 1 in Four Corners is at 300 Cordon Rd. NE in Salem.
The fire district is planning station tours and safety demonstrations.
Refreshments will also be available.
