The Oregon Garden Foundation will present their Digging in the Dirt event on Mother’s Day, Saturday, May 11, starting at 10 a.m. The event will be held in the Discovery Pavilion by the Oregon Garden Resort in Silverton.

Guests can enjoy coffee and pastries before they begin assisting with planting the over 60,000 annual flowers that come alive in the spring and summer. After planting, participants will have an extensive buffet brunch with an omelette bar, live music, and bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys.

“This event is special; it allows people to have a direct impact on the Garden, and then return a few weeks later to see the beauty of their work,” said Allie Woodson the marketing manager at the Oregon Garden.

Each guest will also receive a take-home plant from the on-site nursery, a free return pass to the Garden, and a 20 percent off coupon for the Garden View Restaurant, Garden Gift Shop, and Nursery.

General tickets are $35 and $30 for Garden members. Minors are welcome, and children four and under are free to attend. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit oregongarden.org/digging-in-the-dirt.
